Natural Trinkets
THE DIGITAL PAUSE
An evening of making, experimenting and slowing down at Klaro Industrial Design.
Sydney · October 2026
Natural Trinkets was the second instalment of The Digital Pause — our ongoing series of evenings created as an excuse to step away from screens, make something with our hands and spend time together.
For this edition, we invited friends from Sydney’s design community into the Klaro Design showroom to create small wearable objects, keychains and trinkets using leather, shell, stone, bioplastics and other found materials.
There was no prescribed outcome and no particular skill required. Guests could combine materials however they liked, turning offcuts, samples and small objects into something personal to take home.
The idea was deliberately simple: give people a table full of materials, a few hours and permission to make without needing the result to be useful, resolved or particularly serious.
Making something without needing it to become anything.
The Digital Pause is a series of social gatherings by Klaro Industrial Design centred around making, conversation and analogue experimentation.
Rather than a traditional showroom event, each edition introduces an activity and lets the evening evolve around it.
The first Digital Pause brought us together over collage. Natural Trinkets continued the experiment through material play, with more editions to come.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Natural Trinkets and filled the showroom with small, fun and beautiful things!
And thank you to Tianna for capturing the evening!
